Nidhoggur

Essentially a pared-down version of its big brother the Hel, the Nidhoggur nonetheless displays the same austerity of vision evident in its sibling. Quite purposefully created for nothing less than all-out warfare, and quite comfortable with that fact, the Nidhoggur will no doubt find itself a mainstay on many a battlefield. SHIP BONUSES

Summary
The Nidhoggur is the Minmatar carrier. Formerly a powerful remote logistics and drone platform, the Nidhoggur (and carriers in general) were rebalanced in the April 2016 release to become mobile long-range damage dealers. Due to its base speed, non-reliance on low slots (of which it has plenty of), and large fighter damage bonus, the Nidhoggur is the most popular PVE carrier. Nidhoggurs can complete multiple combat anomalies very quickly, especially if equipped with Hyperspatial Accelerator rigs. In PVP, the Nidhoggur is the preferred shield carrier again due to its high damage, agility, and larger fighter bay compared to the Chimera.

Tactics
For PVE, the Nidhoggur usually has a full rack of racial fighters for DPS and always aligned to either safe spot, POS, citadel or Outpost. The general rule is to always align to the POS and to warp to the POS if invaders detected either through local chat system or from friendly intel channel.
For PvP the Nidhoggur does well as a hot drop carrier for fast hit and run operations. High damage with decent fighter speed allow it to perform well in this type of engagement. Generally though the Thanatos is preferred for most carrier deployments outside of huge capital fights because it has more midslots for damage application and fighter velocity, allowing it to match the the Nidhoggur: the Nidhoggur needs at least one Drone Navigation Computer, ideally two, to really put that fighter velocity bonus to good use.
Notes
Pre-Citadel, the Nidhoggur was used for POS shield repair due to its remote shield bonus. This ship was meant for a mixed armor and shield tank in theory but was practically hard to achieve. In PVP, with a 5/6 mid/low slot layout the Nidhoggur was normally armor tanked.
Post-Citadel, thanks to its high fighter damage bonus, the Nidhoggur is the preferred carrier for PVE activities. As a product of this release, the Nidhoggur traded a low slot for a mid slot, making armor tanks less effective over shield tanks.
