"Technology is a wonderful thing and once you embrace it, you don't look back. Take me. I'm auged up to the eyeballs. That speech impediment I used to have? Neurovocal implant took care of that. I tried working on it but didn't have the time. Too busy with the restructure, new technologies, planning megaheists and all the rest of it."

"What? Oh, yeah, listen. S-s-see what, I m-m-mean? I can edit it back in any time I like. It's my party piece, when I have drinks with the OG. Reminds them of the old days. But anyway, back to technology. We live for it, we're at the cutting edge. And we make it ourselves. We don't nick it, like the Angels. What? Fatal? You're asking about that? OK, look that's enough. Interview's over."

Summary

The Loggerhead is a Guristas Force Auxiliary. It requires both Caldari and Gallente carrier skills to fly. Predictably for a Guristas ship, it offers a large boost to logistics drone durability and transfer amount.

Skills

Tactics

The Loggerhead functions much the same as the Minokawa it is based on, simply swapping out the remote capacitor bonuses for logistics drone bonuses. Loggerheads do not see much use in nulsec or lowsec due to the inherent weak tank of FAXs compared to other capital ships and the Loggerhead's very high cost compared to other FAXs. The Loggerhead is primarily used in wormhole space where there are significantly fewer threats to FAXs and where the small advantage gained by a faction FAX is very valuable.

Notes

The Loggerhead could be named after a type of Oceanic Omnivorous Sea Turtle found in most parts of the world. It could also refer to the Loggerhead Shrike, a type of bird found in North America. It is known for its carnivorous tendencies and its habit of impaling its prey on thorns to kill them.
