Summary
The Hawk is an assault frigate specialised in missiles and rockets. It can be fit with standard launchers, but is more commonly rocket fit, where its velocity bonus to missiles allows it to fire rockets out to overheated web range. One of the hawk's distinguishing features is its 5 mid slots, a feature shared by only one other dedicated combat frigate (the Hookbill); this gives it a lot of flexibility for fitting shield tank modules and/or tackling modules.

- The Hawk is an excellent solo brawler, capable of taking on virtually any ship smaller than a cruiser at short range. You will usually want to activate one MASB at a time, as it will restore almost the entirety of your shield in one activation thanks to the Hawk's bonus.
- As fitted, with all skills at V and before boosts, this ship has 5.8 K EHP, flies at 924 m/s (1199 m/s with AB on overheat) and align in 5.1 s (3.6 s with AB off). The ship signature radius is 42.7 m
- Damage is 201 dps within 12.7 km, but the ship can repair 413 EHP/s indefinitely (or as long as it carries cap boosters)

- This fit drops the AB and Web in favour of an MWD and Adaptive Invulnerability Field. My reason being that the Hawk has an MWD bonus and with a scram you have their MWD locked down too.

- As fitted, with all skills at V and before boosts, this ship has 13.2 K EHP, flies at 844 m/s (1096 m/s with AB on overheat) and align in 6.1 s (4.3 s with AB off). The ship signature radius is 46 m
- Damage is 268 dps within 12.7 km, and the passive shield recharge rate is 53 EHP per s. The ship is cap stable.
- There is an empty Med slot, but fitting something there necessit a complete refit because there is essentially no CPU or powergrid left as it is.

- A long range T1 missile fit with tough tank. The sisters probe launcher and probes are very expensive, but can be obtained with fairly low LPs from SoE.
- Although it uses deadspace passive shield resist, the Gistum C-Type shield resist mods are fairly cheap (ranging from 0.9m ~ 3m) for anything but EM. However, it does mean you will have problem plugging the EM resist hole.
- DPS is at 127.86 at light missiles IV and all missile support skills IV. It shoots missiles to as long as 51km at AF skill level IV.
- Tank is 76.21 omni damage and 191.41 serpentis, switch shield resist accordingly to get the best result.
- Speed is 804m/s with AB on, 1035m/s overheated. Align time is 6.6s with AB and 4.68s without. Capacitor lasts 1m 28s with everything active.
- If you have trouble applying dps to elite frigates or drones, change the weapon rigs accordingly.
- Fitting is pretty tight, at all fitting skills V, weapon upgrades V and AWU IV it only has 2.5 CPU and 4.07 PG left.

- Speed is 880m/s with AB on, 1133m/s overheated. Align time is 5.56s with AB and 3.94s without. Capacitor lasts 1m 6s with everything active.
