Geared toward versatility and prolonged deployment in hostile environments, Marauders represent the cutting edge in today's warship technology. While especially effective at support suppression and wreckage salvaging, they possess comparatively weak sensor strength and may find themselves at increased risk of sensor jamming. Nevertheless, these thick-skinned, hard-hitting monsters are the perfect ships to take on long trips behind enemy lines. SHIP BONUSES

Summary
The Kronos is the Gallente Marauder-class battleship. The Kronos is a behemoth of a ship that can roll over almost any challenger with ease due to its monstrous tank, mixed flight of heavy and medium drones, bonus to armor rep, and four double-damage hybrid turrets (the ship's bonuses favoring blasters).
The Marauder class in general is designed for PvE use, and has several built-in weaknesses designed to prevent them from being overpowered in PvP. It has low sensor strength, meaning it is vulnerable to ECM. It also has low scan resolution (even by battleship standards), meaning it will take a great deal of time to lock small targets. Thus, without support, a Kronos can be nickle-and-dimed while being pointed, jammed, and kited by smaller vessels. For a similar vessel more slanted to PvP performance, try the Vindicator.
As with all Marauders, it has several utility high slots, which are intended to be fit with tractors and salvagers to make an all-in-one PvE ship.
Skills
The Kronos is an extremely expensive Tech 2 hull, and as such deserves excellent skills.
- Large Hybrid Turret and Motion Prediction to 5 to use Tech 2 Large Blasters. Alternatively, train Sharpshooter to 5 instead of Motion Prediction to use Tech 2 Large Railguns.
- Trajectory Analysis, Controlled Bursts, Surgical Strike, Rapid Firing, Sharpshooter, and Motion Prediction to at least 4, preferably 5. Motion Prediction and Sharpshooter 5 are prerequisites for large blasters and railguns respectively.
- Large Railgun Specialization and Large Blaster Specialization to 4 to take advantage of the DPS buff that these skills provide to their respective weapons.
- Marauders to at least 4.
- All of the skills for a full T2 armor tank and for T2 drones.
Tactics
The Kronos is the highest DPS Marauder, but pays for that by being the shortest ranged. The Kronos struggles in solo PVE due to its awful range when blaster fit and its poor tracking and low damage when rail fit. Despite its marauder ability to use armor reps to shrug off 200+ DPS before its ridiculous resists, the Kronos struggles with capacitor. In fact, the Kronos ironically has more cap issues than the Paladin due to the Paly's bonus to energy turret activation cost. The Kronos shines best in fleet PVE operations such as Incursions and Forward Operating Bases where its weak capacitor and lack of application are less of an issue and where its insane damage are highly valued.
Notes
In ancient Greek mythology, Kronos was the leader of the Titans and the father of Zeus. Rhea was his consort.
