Summary
The Maulus is the Gallente EWAR frigate, and has bonuses to sensor dampening. There are 4 mid and 3 low slots plus a larger than normal drone bay. It can be fit with 3 damps and a propulsion module in the mids, with a small armor tank, damage control and a speed module in the lows. Performance can be enhanced by using scripts.

Tactics
- Since you chose to fly a Maulus, you probably will be doing damps (EWAR) in a PvP fleet. Your role is to damp the enemy and hopefully help your fellow Unistas getting close to the enemy without getting blown up.
- In a fleet don't try to fly solo, but try to remain close too your bigger buddies and damp out of the enemy. Your optimal range with a script is 30 km and falloff is 60 km, so keep your distance from the enemy! Set your keep at range at 30 km for optimal range and sit back and watch the damping commence.
- The key is to use your Scripts properly.
The F-90 Positional Sensor is normally run with Scan Resolution Scripts to get the lock in first for the anti EWAR role. This changes to Range Scripts if camping a gate to ensure a lock any snipers that may try to harass.
Use one Range Script and one Scan Strength Script in the Damps to improve shutting down a single important target. (This avoids any stacking penalties.)
If flying in a well-organised EWAR squad it can be worth switching to double Scan Strength Scripts and damping the targets that the ECM call Jammed. This extended re-lock time, coupled with the 20 seconds they will spend jammed from the ECM, will keep more targets out of the fight for longer but does involve more work and better co-ordination within the EWAR squad.
Double Range Dampening Scripts are more situational. They are good to defend against Snipers and Kiting fleets, but will more often than not force a disengage rather than help secure any kills.
Notes
This vessel qualifies for the University Ship Replacement Program, PYOS, and BYOM.
