Their Flow is similar to our Way, if it were bereft of honor, duty, and loyalty.
– Chairman Akimaka Saraki

Using the Triglavian Vedmak-class cruiser as a basis, the designers of the Ikitursa have fashioned a powerful heavy assault cruiser from the already potent core design. The Ikitursa has been adapted for capsuleer service using systems based on the venerable Eagle-class heavy assault cruiser and has the powerful defenses and hard striking power one would expect of such a vessel wielding heavy entropic disintegrators.

As a heavy assault cruiser, the Ikitursa can use an assault damage control for enhanced defense and benefits from increased entropic disintegrator range and damage, while its Triglavian core systems give it advantages in the use of energy neutralizer and pulse weapons, as well as remote armor repairers.

"We can confirm that Ishukone's propriety Heavy Assault Cruiser Enhancement Package can be adapted for use in conversion of the Vedmak design to a heavy assault configuration. The basic technology allowing for damage resistance spiking will function on command and microwarpdrive bloom is reduced using the standard techniques. We did attempt to improve shield systems on Compact 2 but overtuning the thermo-kinetic shielding caused a singularity instability alert and the experiment was aborted. Recommend further research and experimentation in an isolated test location." – excerpt from report to Caldari Navy Design Bureau 47 from Ishukone Corporation

Summary

The Ikitursa is the Triglavian Heavy Assault Cruiser (HAC). It is a Vedmak, which was modified by empires expressly to combat the incoming Triglavian Invasion by giving it both extreme resistance to hostile Disintegrators and a lengthened damage ramp to allow it to burn down even the toughest targets. However, these modifications make it behave very little like a Vedmak: it is much slower, much more heavily armored and protected by the mighty Assault Damage Control, and very much able to take a straight fight and win by outlasting its opponent while slowly incinerating them with its increasingly inevitable damage ramp. For these reasons, the Ikitursa was an extremely dominant force in the former Abyssal PVP Arenas, and was one of the terrors of Wormhole Space and any and all Capital ships.

However, the Ikitursa was not treated kindly by the end of the Invasion and the creation of Pochven: as a T2 Triglavian ship, the Ikitursa is manufactured using materials salvaged from destroyed Triglavian NPC ships. And with the end of the Invasion, these materials became in very short supply, and the Ikitursa has become prohibitively expensive to build, buy, and field.

Like all Triglavian combat ships, the Ikitursa uses the unique Entropic Disintegrator weapon, a single turret with high damage and tracking, whose damage increases the longer it remains focused on a single target. Maximum damage is reached after 60 shots, or about four minutes. However, if the Disintegrator stops firing for any reason (manual deactivation, target lock broken, capacitor depletion, target out of range), the damage bonus is reset. The Ikitursa's extended damage ramp makes it far more devastating than other Triglavian ships if allowed to ramp, but also far more affected by disruption to the ramp.
