Following the handing over the adminstration of Jita to CONCORD in YC128, the Caldari State needed its people to rally around a new symbol of strength to help reassert its dominance following the loss of such an iconic system.

The iconic Corax was selected for a new and improved military variant that could lead the charge against the Gallente, a symbol that the Caldari could rally behind. With more robust shields, greater flexibility of fitting, and significant improvements to the explosive force of its attacks, the Corax Navy Issue is the very best of classical Caldari excellence.
